Why can't I hear the broadcast from Forexvoice™?

Once the Forexvoice™squawk box is running there may be a number of reasons that you can not hear it: You need a soundcard and speakers, connected, and the volume turned up. Check that you can hear other sounds from your computer. Soundcards divide into 2 categories: "mixing" and "non-mixing". If you have a non-mixing soundcard, another application may have control of the sound card, Try closing other applications that use sound.

How do I hear sounds from multiple applications?

If you want to listen to Forexvoice™squawk box at the same time as listening to another audio-producing application, then you need a "mixing" soundcard. If you have a "non-mixing" soundcard you will only hear the audio output from the application that was started first. (To find out which type of card you have, first play a long wav file, and then go to Sounds in the Control Panel. There you can preview a windows sound: if it plays with the other audio, you have a "mixing" soundcard, if it does not you will receive an error message and you have a "non-mixing" soundcard.) In our experience the "mixing/ non-mixing" functionality does not usually appear as a "feature" in the manufacturers' product descriptions. In very general terms cheaper soundcards tend to be either mixing or non-mixing while more expensive cards tend to be mixing. (If a more expensive card does not mix audio, then check that the correct driver has been installed.)
